Annual Subscription Page
2026 - 2027

Dear Members and Friends

I am  updating you on an important change to our membership subscription, and to share why now is the right time for the Society to ask a little more from our members.

Following careful consideration at our most recent Annual General Meeting, the Trustees have agreed that a modest increase is necessary to safeguard the Society’s future work. From 1st October 2026, the revised rates will be:

  • Single Membership: £20 per annum
  • Joint Membership: £30 per annum

Why this matters now

Since 1946, The Windsor and Eton Society has stood as the guardian of our Towns’ heritage, championing high standards of planning and architecture, and protecting the buildings and spaces that give Windsor and Eton their character. The Society was founded to preserve and celebrate this heritage. Nearly 80 years on, that mission is as important as ever — and it depends entirely on the support of our members, of whom we are proud to have over 300.

Subscription rates have remained unchanged for over a decade, and this modest increase will ensure the Society remains on a sustainable footing and can continue its programme of activities and heritage work. In 2026 alone, your subscription is supporting:

  • Maintenance of four town gardens
  • The rejuvenation of Guildhall Island
  • Restoration of the King Charles I Execution Warrant

Beyond these projects, our Heritage Committee continue to review planning applications monthly and speak up for the sites such as the Guildhall and the Cock Pit – a voice that only exists because you the Society fund it. Your subscription also supports our ongoing work compiling and photographing the list of Heritage Assets across Windsor and Eton, and safeguarding sites of historic importance.

What else does your membership bring to you?

  • A collective voice to the Borough Councillors via the Windsor Forum
  • Summer monthly talks on local interest topics by guest speakers
  • Visits to local historic sites, houses and places of interest.
  • A quarterly Newsletter updating you on W&ES activity.
  • Our annual dinner and occasional Music Events
